I's got a job

Well today I done something I haven't done in almost 6 months. Went to work. That's right, I HAVE A JOB! Well just to be clear, it's a temporary holiday job that I applied for a month a half ago. Yes they finally called me Tuesday evening and asked me to start on Thursday. Given the date and what I was told in the interview I was happy, not overjoyed because I could be wrong but the job may only last 2 weeks. Now don't get me wrong I'm happy to be working because that means I will have some income. It's been a long time since I got a paycheck.

So being that today was my first day of work in a long time, I'm going to give you some tips on how to make your first day of work run smoothly.

1. Pick out your outfit at least 2 days in advance.
I had to have tried on three outfits before I finally settled on one.

2. Eat Breakfast.
Even if your not a morning person, or you don't eat breakfast period, eat it that day. Why? Because it's nothing worse than standing there trying to concentrate on what your being told, and the whole time you can't because your praying you don't pass out from hunger.

3. Put your keys in your purse.
It will save you time in the morning.

4. Find your passport and bring it with you, and a cancelled check.
It will also save you time when filling out those new hire forms.

5. Check the weather.
This mostly applies to ppl who live in cities with horrible traffic. For example in Atlanta even the mere mention of rain means that traffic will be so much worse than it already is. Don't let it be winter and the threat of snow, the entire city will shut down. DOWN!!

These are all things that can be done before your first day. Of course my list was longer, but I'm tired and can't think anymore.
